Introduction
Welcome to our Roaring Fork Valley Field Guide. We are 6th graders in Mark Munger's science classes and have been studying the ecosystems of the Roaring Fork Valley watershed. Our study goes from the top of Independence Pass (12,095 ft.) to Glenwood Springs, Colorado (5,763 ft.). Our site includes descriptions of the ecosystems in the valley, natural processes that take place all over the earth, hazards to some Colorado areas, and maps of many important points in the valley. There are five ecosystems visible in the picture above--can you name them after looking at our site? We hope you learn something and enjoy!
